Why your face needs a different tube
SPF 4 is a deliberately low SPF, built for a body you intend to tan. Faces do not follow that logic — facial skin is thinner, it carries your makeup, and it is the part of you that gets photographed. How to use them together
Apply SPF 4 to the body 15 minutes before sun exposure — a thin, even layer; a pea-sized amount covers a full limb. Apply SPF 50 to face and neck as the final step of morning skincare, before makeup. Reapply both at least every 2 hours, and after swimming, sweating or towel-drying. Sunscreen isn't the whole story — limit time in the sun, especially 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and cover up when you've had enough.
Two honest notes before you buy
Both finish glossy, not matte. These are gelées, and gelées finish luminous. On the body that's the point. On the face it reads dewy — a light dusting of powder settles it without disturbing the SPF. Reviewers are genuinely split on the face finish, and we'd rather you decide with your eyes open.
The SPF 4 scent is cassia, not coconut. Warm and spiced — cinnamon, orange zest. It fades within about ten minutes. Some customers say it's their favourite thing about the tube; others are surprised by it.
